OK, this is personally my favorite way to collect gold. Why you ask? Well first of all, most gold coins are officially minted and therefore are a very safe and reliable way to know you are getting what you are paying for. With an officially minted coin there is no question as to it's gold value content.Also many of these coins can gain in value based simply on there availability. It's like collecting and investing all at the same time.
